Pathways to Evidence-Based Treatments (EBTs)

The Pathways to Evidence-Based Treatments (EBTs) Pilot Program is funded by a generous investment from the North Carolina Division of Child and Family Well-Being (DCFW).

Note: The Pathways to EBTs Pilot Program is open exclusively to agencies/practices with clinician(s) and senior leader(s) who are applying for one of these upcoming NC CTP learning collaboratives:

Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) Bounce Back

Program Summary:

The Pathways to EBT SPARCS School Implementation Program aims to support school-based clinicians, student support teams, school leaders, and other key personnel in implementing the Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) model within school settings. This program is designed to strengthen schools’ capacity to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based support for adolescents impacted by chronic stress, complex trauma, and ongoing adversity. In conjunction with clinicians participating in a SPARCS Learning Collaborative, participating schools will receive enhanced and scaffolded implementation support to help effectively integrate and sustain the SPARCS model within their existing systems of care and student support services. The program emphasizes collaboration, skill-building, and practical implementation strategies that support both clinicians and school communities in creating safe, supportive, and responsive environments for students. The Pathways to EBT SPARCS School Implementation Program will focus on:

  • Retention-focused Training: Training in the Components for Enhancing Clinician Engagement and Reducing Trauma (CE-CERT) model to address secondary trauma, support clinician retention, and prevent burnout.
  • Agency/Practice Consultation: Expert consultation to address real-world challenges and refine EBT implementation.
  • Monthly Implementation Calls: Guidance for school leaders and staff on overcoming systemic and organizational barriers to implementing EBTs effectively and making the EBTs sustainable within the school.
  • EBT Tuition Assistance: NC CTP will waive the tuition for clinicians in SPARCS Cohort #14 or Bounce Back Cohort #3
