Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT),
Darden White, MEd, LCMHCS, is a licensed clinician and trainer at the Center for Child and Family Health. Ms. White specializes in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral concerns. Ms. White serves as the Associate Director of the PCIT Training Program, and is also a Regional Trainer endorsed by PCIT International, and a Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) Trainer. Ms. White is highly active in the PCIT community: She participates on a task force for PCIT International; conducts research, service, training, and consultation for PCIT; and is dedicated to working with children and families considered to be at-risk. Ms. White’s additional interests include providing therapeutic interventions to children who have experienced trauma and children with sexualized behaviors, and applying PCIT to children on the autism spectrum. She obtained her MEd in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2011.
