Ebonie Holmes, LCMHC, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with clinical experience working with traumatized children and families in acute, residential, and outpatient settings since 2013. Because she understands the importance and impact of intergenerational patterns, Ebonie provides comprehensive assessments and evidenced-based treatment to families struggling to manage disruptive behaviors in their young children and families that have been impacted by adverse traumatic experiences. Ebonie serves as a training consultant for the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) team at the NC Child Treatment Program, and has also completed training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and the Attachment, Regulation and Competency Framework (ARC).
Ebonie believes that all children deserve to feel protected, loved and confident in their own abilities. Through her commitment to her work as a counselor, she is fulling her purpose of supporting and empowering families as they navigate through difficult life experiences. As an adult who experienced childhood trauma, Ebonie wholeheartedly believes in the evidence-based treatments she provides. Her implementation of these treatments increases knowledge, widens perspectives and improves communication skills that have the potential to alter family patterns for future generations.
